# Device

On the thingable! platform, devices follow the same concept of what "things" are in the loT (Internet of Things) universe. That is, they can represent from a sensor, a vehicle, an industrial machine, or even something more abstract like an apartment, just that this "thing" is sending data to the tags of the device created on the platform.

The devices have an identification (ID) names and MQTT connection credentials. They are created in the device manager, manipulated in Logic Builder and geo-referenced in the Maps tool.\ <br>
